We provided two aerial flying effects for an Adidas corporate event in Nuremburg Germany in collaboration with 'Heir of insanity' firstly providing 2 performers who 'ran up 10 meter walls using a counterweight system and cables. The second adidas routine involved 2 performers wallrunning on a 6x6m wall - also on a counterweight system.
20/10/05 Matilda leyser is doing a performance of her new piece, 'point' at the linbury studio on the 31st October and the 1st of November. I have been working with 'Tilly' on this piece and on the rigging of her full length show which is currently in rehearsal. This piece is performed on a narrow cloud swing and involves the use of narrative. If you can come allong please do.... I would reccomend this to anyone interested in theatre / circus crossover.
25th sep 05 This weeks highlight involved with de-rigging for 'early redemption' at Fabrica in Brighton This was an art / theatrical event where the artist / performer was using a harness to create a giant 7 meter artwork over amost an entire month - here's a photo of it in progress from the independent newspaper.
other gigs involved rigging for a aerial theatre show - 'the Helliosphere' at Brands Hatch for a motor racing event, rigging a swing for an actress in a photography studio in fulham for a promotional event in the style of moulan rouge.
20 sep 05 This weeks highlight was with the Generating Company rigging for the tour of the new show 'lactic acid'. Very hard work to put this show into two very different theatre venues in one week, (hard is a bit of an understatement), still - the shows went well. ps:Many thanx to Richard without which it i would have gone mad (Will) Beaureau of silly ideas are good friends of mine and very tallented lot too! "the high job" the beaureau of silly ideas are doing a large scale show if you can get to see it then do - fireworks by the world famous - who did the pyro's for "STICKY"
Early redemption Brighton: i recently assisted steve (all ten fingers) for a day rigging for an aerial art piece in brighton, opening 1-25th sept if your' in the area check it out.
early redemption flyer xxxxCongradulations xxx Lina Johansen from Mimbre is Expecting a baby - so there will soon be an addition to the mimbrettes The Dream Engine are Presenting several new pieces this summer - one of which is an arts council funded piece entitled the 'cone dancers' - heres a sneak preview of the rehearsals. Scarabeus have asked me to work on a large outdoor piece rigging aerialists on tall ships in Newcastle which sounds exciting I am also working with Matilda leyser on a touring full length theatre show due to be premiered early next yeay (2006). We are currently trying to find creative solutions to the problems of taking an aerial show to multiple venues. recent gigs include -
